SUBMISSIONS & PROGRAM INQUIRIES

Introduce yourself. We would love to know who you are, what you do and why you are interested in working with Open Space.

Open Space (est. 1972) endeavours to work in meaningful, collaborative and relational ways and invites inquiries and submissions by artists and creative practitioners activating the many possible ways of knowing, creating, experiencing and working. Open Space prioritizes relational programming and supports experimental artistic practices in all contemporary arts disciplines, including but not limited to sound and new music, literary and visual arts, and social practice welcoming creative risk and innovative engagement with art, artists and communities. Open Space is committed to the active practice of decolonial values on an organizational level, beginning with the active inclusion of folks who identify as Indigenous, Black and People of Colour in the Open Space community, and by embarking in ethical relationship-building with the Lekwungen peoples, on whose lands we exist. Open Space also occasionally puts out thematic calls for exhibitions and projects. When they occur, detailed calls for submissions will be posted on the Open Space website and social media pages.
