Open Space invites you to continue your support of artists and artist-run culture as we acknowledge 50-years in operation on lək̓ʷəŋən land.
We are looking for folks to renew their membership, or register as new members, and join the organization and engage the work that we do in the arts community. Open Space relies on the participation of community members to support our ongoing operations and programming.

Membership
Membership is one of the many ways to participate in and support Open Space. As a registered BC Society, Open Space’s institutional body is made up of a Board of Directors, the staff, and the membership. Members are individuals in the community who are interested in participating in the organization by engaging with programming, lending their time and energy to events, and providing feedback to determine the direction of the organization. We are excited to work with the membership to foster community and provide meaningful opportunities to engage in the arts in Victoria.

Although membership has historically required an associated fee, in the hopes of reducing barriers to participation, we have been seeking alternative membership models. As of July 2020 we are now offering the option of a $0 membership fee, along with other fee categories of your choice! In place of a financial commitment, we are hopeful that members can offer time, skills, or feedback in other ways, by attending events or volunteering. Central to this decision is our commitment to a reciprocal and relational membership process. By making membership more accessible, we hope to recognize and value the contributions from community members and volunteers who have already been supporting Open Space.
If you are able, we also encourage you to support Open Space financially through a one-time or regular donation. All donations are recognized with a charitable tax receipt. You can also sign up for our volunteer newsletter here to receive monthly updates on volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved in the gallery.
You can now register for membership in two ways: by physical mail addressed to Open Space, 510 Fort Street, 2nd floor, Victoria, BC V8W 1E6 (download and print the form here) or through our online store! If you are including a donation with your membership, see below for payment options.
